Have you ever started your computer and discovered something wrong? Slow start-ups and start-up errors can be a real pain to deal with.

Sometimes you may uninstall an application and it fails to uninstall the app completely. Unfortunately, these registry keys were installed to properly start the original program and usually result in an error message on start up.

Most of the time deleting any remaining files in the programs folder can fix it. Some times though that doesn't work.

Removing the files left behind usually fixes the error. Often though this doesn't fix the problem.

Using the registry editor can correct the errors. To use it, click Start, then Run, type regedit, and click Ok.

When the Regedit window shows up, click Edit at the top of it. From the menu list click Find Next.

Once the dialog box opens, enter the name of the program to search for the remaining keys. Delete each one you find.

Continue searching and deleting all the keys related to the program you find. Once you finish deleting them, reboot your computer to verify the error was fixed.
